Have you noticed all those car magnets advertising local schools? There is the crisp blue and white of Trinity, the green knight of St. Thomas More and the tiger paw of Frank Porter Graham. Those are just the first three that popped into my head! Boy, those things really work to get you to associate a visual cue with an organization and then remember that organization. We would like to have that for CHEAGD because we want people to know that homeschoolers have a large presence here. We also want homeschoolers, or people thinking of it, to know we are here for support. With that in mind, we are announcing our first ever Logo Design Contest.

Let's start by praying about what God has called CHEAGD to be. Then, think about what our group has meant to you in your Christian homeschool journey. Now, use your artistic ability and show us! Our rules are pretty easy for this contest.

Contest Rules:

1. You must be a CHEAGD member for the 2010-2011 year. Anyone in the family, regardless of age, is eligible.
2. The design must incorporate our website address, www.cheagd.org, and must be your original creation (no copyright infringement, please).
3. It can be submitted in vector format, EPS (Encapsulated PostScript), Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop format or any high quality JPEG (300 dpi or higher). Avoid bitmaps or other non-scalable formats.
4. You must sign a statement that your design becomes the property of CHEAGD and can be used on all future advertising.
5. The design must be submitted to Angela Bonner at abonner@mebtel.net by August 22, 2010.

If your design wins, you receive $50, serious bragging rights and something awesome to add to a resume or application. The winning design will be unveiled at our kick off meeting in the form of a 4 1/2 inch round car magnet which will be given to every family. The CHEAGD Board reserves the right to choose up to 5 finalists. The winner will be determined through on-line voting in which each family registered for CHEAGD for the 2010-2011 year will get one vote.
